📞 Volunteer with VisionPK – Telephone Befriending Opportunity

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate people to help us launch our new telephone befriending service for people in Perth & Kinross living with sight or hearing loss.

About VisionPK:

We’re a small, local charity based in Perth, and we’ve been supporting people with sight and hearing loss across Perth & Kinross for many years. Our mission is to help people stay connected, confident, and independent—whether through practical support, social activities, or simply by offering a friendly voice at the end of the phone.

What the role involves:

  • A regular 20–40 minute phone call once a week
  • Aimed at reducing loneliness and building connection
  • Flexible – you can make the call from wherever suits you
  • You'll be matched with someone based on shared interests where possible

Who we’re looking for:

  • Kind, patient, and good listeners
  • Comfortable chatting on the phone
  • No experience needed—just a warm and friendly approach

Support & training:

  • Full training provided (can be virtual or in-person)
  • Ongoing support from the VisionPK team throughout
