Caretaker/Key Holder

The North Muirton Community Centre is at the heart of our community, offering a space where local residents can gather, learn, and enjoy activities together. To ensure our centre continues to be a welcoming and safe environment, we’re searching for a volunteer caretaker who shares our commitment to community spirit.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a volunteer caretaker, your role will be vital in the day-to-day operations of the centre. Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and Closing the Centre: You'll ensure the community centre is open for scheduled events and securely closed afterwards. This involves managing access to the building and ensuring all areas are secure.
• General Tidying and Maintenance: Help us keep the centre clean and inviting. This includes light cleaning tasks, organizing spaces after activities, and reporting any maintenance issues to ensure they are promptly addressed.
• Support for Community Events: Occasionally, assist in the setup and takedown of events held at the centre. Your help will ensure events run smoothly and spaces are returned to order afterward.

We need someone reliable, with a keen eye for detail and a heart for community service. No specific skills are required – just a willingness to help and the ability to commit a few hours a week.
