Summary
The Bertie Bus Chair has ultimate responsibility for every aspect of the Charity's operations. The Vice Chair helps and deputises for the Chair.Detailed description
The Chair of Bertie Bus leads the teams responsible for the Charity's activities and is responsible for keeping all those involved informed and motivated. Duties include helping organising meetings, including of the Trustees, and fund raising as needed. The current Vice Chair is stepping down and it is hoped that whoever takes over will be prepared to succeed the Chair in due course. 2025 is Bertie Bus' Golden Anniversary and will be an opportunity to increase awareness of the charity's contribution to the Strathearn area. The enthusiastic existing volunteers, some of whom have supported its work for many years, make the role of Vice Chair a satisfying one as there are always people ready to step in and help when needed.
About Bertie Bus
Bertie Bus, originally named Strathcare, was formed in 1975 to coordinate the activities of various local clubs and has evolved into providing outings for groups with a need for specialised transport.
We pride ourselves on giving our passengers a door-to-door service in a purpose-built minibus. Our activities are provided by volunteers and financial support is almost entirely by way of donations, grants and fundraising.
Bertie Bus is a registered charity.
